Ferryboats cross the Liffey at three or four points below the Swivel-bridge, and form a convenient, if slow, method of passing from side to side on the lower reaches of the river. The fare is 1/2d.

Four Courts. [...] In 1744, and again in 1755, considerable sums were expended for repairs ; but the buildings had fallen into so ruinous a state, and were so extremely incommodious, that COOLEY was requested to furnish a design for a new building in a more convenient situation ; the outcome of which proposal was the building of the present Four Courts in 1796.
