Description

Lantern slide of an illustration of St. Stephen's Green, Dublin. Originally labeled 'Old Dublin The Beaux Walk Stephen;s Green 1796.' Thaken from the orignal hand-coloured engraving by James Malton, the slide depicts the park in the late 18th century. There are a number of finely dressed men and women enjoying the scenerey of the park. The park is the oldest in Dublin's inner-city and dates from 1670. The park we see today dates from 1880 and consists of 22 acres of land.
