Description

Lantern slide of an architectural plan of a Dutch billy, Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 IV 65' and with the title 'Jervis St.' In the 17th century a number of French Protestants, who were skilled craftsmen, fled to Ireland and brough with them their own traditional style of houses - Dutch Billies. Pictured in the slide is an architectural plan of one of these house. The house rises to four levels and features a pair of curvilinear pedimented gables. It appears from the plan that the house has new features including 'modern roof' and 'modern railings.'
