Description

Lanten slide of the floating chapel at Ringsend, which dates back to 1847. This engraving was donated to the National Library of Ireland by Jasper Robert Joly (1819-1892). In the foreground is a wooden ship with two flags on it, the Union Jack and a flag depicting a bird in flight, possibly a seagull. Originally catalogued as 'D3 VIII 73' with no further labelling.
