Description

Lantern slide of an effigy of James Birmingham, Lusk, Co. Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 III II' and with the title 'Lusk.' Located in St Macullin's Church (DU008-010004-) this effigy depicts James Birmingham dated 1637. The tomb is decorated with a relief effigy of a knight in armour and with the coat of arms of the Birmingham and Fitzwilliam families. In the slide the effigy is located outside, this was before it was relocated to the tower. A child can be seen standing next to the sculpture.
