Description
Lantern slide of a portal tomb, Brenanstown, Co. Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 III 42' and with the title 'Cromlech - Glendruid 1886.' This portal tomb is one of the largest of its kind in Ireland, with its capstone weighing between 40-70 tonnes. Most of the structural stones are made of granite. The tomb contains a large single chamber, in which a person can stand comfortably upright. Two people can be seen resting on a gate leading to the tomb.
