Description
Lantern slide of a drawing of a monastic site at Devenish Island, Co. Fermanagh. Originally labeled '10 F' with title 'Devenish.' This site was founded by St. Molaise in Lower Lough Erne in 1st century A.D. On the site is a 12th century round tower and a small church dedicated to St Molaise which dates from the 12th or 13th century. There is also St. Mary's Augustinian Priory dating from the 15th or 16th century which sits on the hill.
