Description

Lantern slide of the interior of All Hallows College Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 56' with title 'All Hallows.' The college was founded in 1842 by John Hand. His mission was to train priests for the foreign mission in what were then new territories. The building functioned as a college up until December 2014 when the last pupils graduated. Financial problems led to its closure. Pictured in the lantern slide is what appears to be an office, perhaps of one of he priest/lecturers. Over the fire place is a large frame. What its framing is unclear but perhaps it is a degree certificate. There are various other things stuck to the wall including religious imagery and a painting by Luca Signorelli called The Damed. There is a desk full of papers and books to the left of the slide.
