Description

Lantern slide of a detail of Brooking's map of Dublin City. Originallly labeled 'D3 26' with title 'Stephen's Green - Brooking's Map. The map was drawn by Charles Brooking c. 1728 detailling both North and South of the city. The slide depicts his drawing of St. Stephen's Green, a Victorian park located in the inner city centre. The slide shows the park in it's early stages before it was reopened by Lod Ardilaun in 1880 for the citizens of the city.
