Description
Lantern slide depicting a cross-slab in Monasterboice, Co. Louth. Originally titled 'Monasterboice CROSS SLAB' and labelled 'L5 38. The monument is found in an old monastic settlement in Monasterboice. The handdrawn image is a representation of a cross slab from the Monasterboice early monastic site. The slab includes writing in Old Irish 'arcan' and 'hahada'. It is not certain of the exact cross slab depiting in the image, however there are several in the site.
