Description
Lantern slide of Weavers Square, Dublin City. Originally labeled 'D3 IV 32' and with the title 'Weavers Square. Chambre Street.' In the 17th century a number of French Protestants, who were skilled weavers, fled to Ireland. It was here is Weaver's Square that they created their industrial centre. Here they also built their own traditional style of houses - Dutch Billies.
