Lantern slide of Chamber Street, Dublin City. Originally labeled 'D3 IV 30' and with the title 'Chambre Street.' The slide depicts a view of Chamber St. which is located in the south inner city. In the 17th century a number of French Protestants, who were skilled weavers, fled to Ireland. It was around Chamber Street and Weaver's Square that they created their industrial centre. Here they also built their own traditional style of houses - Dutch Billies. In the slide there is a group of children standing next to a lampost along with other figures standing further down the street.
