Description

Lantern slide showing a print of the old Parliament buildings on Westmoreland Street and College Green. The original slide was labeled D3 VI 68 and '1783'. The building was originally constructed as the first purpose build House of Parliament between 1729 and 1739 but only part of the original building remains today. Bank of Ireland took over the building in 1803 and Francis Johnston was hired to make considerable changes to the building.
