            Description
Lantern slide of the Wellington monument in the Phoenix Park Dublin. The slide was originally labeled 'D3 VII 25'. Construction on the monument was started in 1817 but due to lack of funding it was not finished until 1861. The obelisk was built to commemorate the Iron Duke Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington.
