Description

Lantern Slide of a standing stone in Glencolumbkille, Co Donegal. The slide has been originally catalogued as number 35 beside a label reading, 'Glencolumbkille. Straid, east face.' Printed on the slide is 'Cross at Church, Glencolumbcill, East Side. R.W. 1354.' It is part of the Station of the Turas. It is the second stop on the Turas. It stands 1.85m tall, High cross-inscribed schist stone pillar that stands at the top of a small rock outcrop. beneath the pillar are remains of a dry stone altar.
