Depicts an close-up view of a ceiling in the drawing room of Mespil House. The ceiling is decorated with plasterwork depicting a classical scene of figures, typically gods or allegorical personas, surrounded by rococo style flowers and berries. Mespil House was once located on the outskirts of Dublin city in the 1750s but was demolished in the 1951.
