Description

Lantern slide of carved stone figures at White Island, Co Fermanagh. Originally labeled '2 F' with title 'White Island Co. Fermanagh.' These carved figures are located at the 12th century church located on the island. On the top left, the figure is clasping two birds in his hands, the next is carrying a sword and shield whilst wearing a penannular brooch. Also pictured is a carved head, a figure holding a book, and what seems to resemble a sheela-na-gig on the bottom right. The last figure, located on the top left, holds a short staff and pouch.
