Beskrivelse
Lantern slide of Lord Norbury's house, Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 64' with and without a title. Norbury was a strong supporter of the government and attained many offices leading to his ennoblement. Through bribery and deception he was able to reach the Bench and became a corrupt judge. His courts were likened to wild theatre and was hated and feared by many. Pictured is number 3. Great Denmark Street, the earl's residence where he eventually died in 1831. Denmark St. was originally part of Gardiner Row, but was renamed in 1787. This may have been in honour of Queen Matilda of Norway and Denmark.
