Description
Lantern slide of an 18th century map of Dublin City. Originally labelled 'D3 12. Rocque 1756. Centre of City - North of River'. The slide is a well known image by John Rocque who spent a short time in Dublin and produced maps of the city during his time spent there. This map is from 1757. In later maps he wrote a guide offering advice and information on the local people of Dublin. Some streets shown on the map include, Moore St., Sackville St., Great Marlborough St., Great Abby St.
