Lantern slide depicting Clonony Castle, Co. Offaly. Originally titled 'CLONONY CAS Leask' and labelled 'K4 49'. The image depicts a 16th Century Tudor Castle, given to Thomas Boyeln to King Henry VII in exchange for his daughter, Anne Boyeln, hand in marriage. The graves of Anne's cousins Mary and Elizabeth. MacCoughlan family before 1519 and was one of the principal strongholds of Dealbhna Eathra. The castle is now a National Monument, and is owned and restored by Rebecca Armstrong Black.
