Lantern slide depicting an excavation site in Lug, Co. Offally. Originally titled 'LUG-OFFALY: during excavation a Carroll Dublin' and labelled 'K4 25'. The image depicts an excavation site consisted of a number of prehistoric burials, with human remains found in various cists, under the cairn it was placed in. The excavation was undertaken by the Royal Antiquarian Society of Ireland, by Micheal O Duigeannain. The exact location of the excavation site could not be determined. The image itself depicts an overview of the excavation site. The cair was approx. 65 feet in diamater. There were multpile burial chambers and remains found in the site, both human an non-human origin.
