Lantern slide depicting a cross in Monasterboice, Co. Louth. Originally titled 'Tall Cross, Monasterboise T. MASON, 5, DAME STREET, DUBLIN' and labelled 'L5 28'. The monument is found in an old monastic settlement in Monasterboice. The image is of a cross known both as The Tall Cross and The Western Cross. It is the tallest cross of its kind in Ireland. It has various iconography on it which depict various Christan parables. In the slide, a small figure, most probably a child, can be seen standing beside the cross.
