The slide itself has writing along the lower portion stating 'Wooden House, Drogheda; erected, 1570; taken down , 1824'. The house depicted was alternatively known as the Bathe House, and was located on the corner of Shop Street and Lawerence Street in Drogheda. The original image in the sldie may come from the Dublin Penny Journal. The house was constructed by Nicholas Bathe.
