Lantern Slide of Grey Abbey. Originally labelled '6.23' and 'D2 22' with the title 'Grey Abbey, Co. Down' and 'T. Mason, 5, Dame Street, Dublin'. Grey Abbey was a Cistercian founded in 1193 by John de Courcey's wife Affrecea. It was dissolved in 1541 and used as a parish church until 1778.
