Lantern slide of the Baily Fort, Howth, Co. Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 II 77' with the title 'Baily Fort Howth 192.' Baily Fort is a coastal promontory fort located at the south-east corner of Howth. The fort has two lines of defense; the other comprising of two lines of curving fosses with earthen banks; the inner line is located at a narrow point of the headland and contains a broad deep fosse. Currently the site is heavily overgrown.
