Description

Lantern slide of St. Doulagh's Church, Co. Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 II 65' and without a title. The current structure has undergone many building phases, with the earliest section being the east end dating to the mid-twelfth century. The church is rectangular in shape, and has a 15th century central tower that projects over the roofline. There is a 13th century window at the east side of the building with tracery and sandstone jambs. The earliest reference of St. Doulagh can be found in the 9th century Martyrology of Oengus. A man can be seen standing in front of the church in the slide.
