Lantern slide of an engraving showing the Theatre Royal in Dublin on fire with firemen attempting to put it out and there is a small group of men looking at the building in the foreground. Originally labelled 'D3 VII 7' This slide shows the second Theatre Royal which was located on Hawkins Street in Dublin. The Theatre Royal, built by Henry Harris burned to the ground on 9 February 1880. Thomas Barber (1768-1843) was the engraver.
