Description

Lantern slide of a drawing of a doorway on Tyrone Street, Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 III 73' and with the title 'Tyrone S.' The current name for the street is Marlborough St. It was only called Tyrone Street for a short period of time in the late 19th century. The exact location of the doorway is unknown as much of the street has been redeveloped. In the drawing the door has 6 panels and is topped by a fanlight. The door is surrounded by a richly decorated frame, which has heads supporting a cornice.
