Description
Lantern slide of a piece of fragmented sculpted stone, Galoon, Co. Fermanagh. Originally labeled '48 F' and without a title. Behine the fragment, the base of one of the High Crosses can be seen. Perhaps this piece of sculpture was once part of the cross and has fallen off due to harsh weathering. This piece in paticular looks like it could have been part of the uppermost section of the cross. It is visibly decorated with interlace in three panels, but it is unclear as to where it once belonged.
