Enniskillen Castle
Lantern slide of Enniskillen Castle, Co Fermanagh. Originally labeled 'F 29' with title 'Enniskillen Cas'. The Castle is shown from across the river highlighting the main fortifications of the surrounding building focusing on the watergate. The castle was originally built In the 16th Century for Hugh Maguire and was the centre of many Irish rebellions during the 16th Century. In the 17th Century the Watergate was added by Captain William Cole during his refurbishments.
