Lantern slide of a round tower at Kilmacduagh, Co. Galway. Originally labeled '64 G' with title 'Kilmacduagh Co. Galway.' Measuring around 34 meters, this round tower is the highest in the country. The tower sits next to a monastery founded in the 13th century by St. Colman. With a total of 11 openings, the tower holds the record for most windows in a round tower. The structure also boast a doorway 7 ft. high off the ground. This would cause a difficult entry for raiders.
