Lantern slide of a marble sculpture, Dublin. Originally labeled 'D3 87' and without a title. This sculpture depicts a nude angel asleep on top of a lion's head. The angel is in a relaxed, reclining position, and is placed upon a rather plush-looking mat. A small animal sits at their feet. There are no defining anatomical features that place the angel as male or female. A small piece of fabric is draped over one side of the body.The face is soft and the hair on their head is in curls. This would suggest the figure is a child of either sex, or a young woman. The exact location of this sculpture is unknown.
