Mountjoy square was originally laid out in 1791 and constructed between 1793 and 1818. In the 1970's it witnessed extensive demolition. In the 1980's, No. 58 was demolished. The building was rebuilt in c. 1989 as part of the Urban Renewal Bill of 1986. The slide shows a decorated pillaster with a simple composite entablature.
